Michael Josephson

Hi. I'm Michael Josephson, a software developer living in Manchester, England.

This site contains some information about me, details about personal software projects I'm working on, some pages that might be useful for people who know me in real life and a few other things.

I love music of almost every type but have a soft spot for singer/songwriters who play acoustic guitar and also one particular band from Oxford. I trust Uncut, Word and last.fm to point me at new things to listen to. I also play guitar and recently have started to teach myself drums as well.

Some of my spare time is spent doing development and system administration for The Unfinished Project, a service that I co-founded to provide web hosting and email facilities for non-commericial and hobby projects. I'm also an officer for the BCS Methods & Tools SIG, helping to suggest speakers and to organise and publicise events.

I'm a big fan of virtual communities. I grew up on Fidonet and CIX. These days I'm on The WELL and Table Talk.

In addition to the above I also like: reading; going to the gym; drawing; chess; badminton and squash.
